Yes it’s very hard. I dont think that there is any one thing that makes it harder than the rest. Musicians, or artists in general, are very complex people who have a sense of entitlement that doesn’t ever go away - no matter how humble they seem. There are also always outside factors that get in the way of growth - whether it be money, overbearing girlfriends, envious other bands, etc. There is a lot of politics involved.
It’s all extremely worth it though and helping bands grow is extremely gratifying.
