the best thing that comes from realizing things have occurred for too long, is dealing with it. a lot of the time things just feel better when you stop talking about them - when you realize hey maybe if i stop talking about this, i will stop thinking about it, and things won’t hurt so much.
keeping your mouth shut is a lot like the pain killers i recently got prescribed for my wisdom teeth. it doesn’t remove the pain, but it makes you forget about it.
staying quiet is different than the aforementioned shutting your mouth. it’s usually something to prevent pain from even occurring. usually when you end up with some real dumb feelings or things you think will ruin things that are already pretty okay.
stuff is dumb. being hurt is dumb. shut your mouth and keep quiet and you’ll be much more better off.
